Have you set your sights on a career in mutual funds? In Canada, you must pass the CSI’s mutual fund licensing exam as well as obtain sponsorship from an investment dealer in order to sell mutual funds. Sheridan can help you succeed. We offer a non-credit course that will prepare you for the exam. Successful course and exam completion earns your Mutual Fund Dealer – Dealing Representative License. For your convenience, you can write the exam on campus at the end of the course.
Note: At this time, Sheridan College only provides preparation for the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) licensing exam. In response to the current COVID-19 situation, the exam preparation course will be delivered online. This approach will allow for real-time, synchronous learning in much the same manner as students experience in the classroom. For students seeking to write the CSI licensing exam, we recommend that they contact CSI directly regarding the availability of their exam schedule.
Note that in addition to the Sheridan tuition fee, students also pay mandatory materials and exam fees of approximately $395.00* (after 10% discount) to CSI. Your instructor will give you instructions on ordering with the discount during the first class.
* The fee is subject to change without notice.
System Requirements: If you currently use ‘Internet Explorer’ as your browser, we strongly recommend you choose another modern browser to continue accessing your course content seamlessly through the CSI portal. If you have any further questions about CSI’s browser updates and support, please email customer_support@csi.ca or call CSI at 416.364.9130 or 1.866.866.2601 (toll-free within Canada) between the hours of 8am and 8pm Eastern Time.
