Financial Assistance

Students enrolled in a Continuing Education program are eligible to apply for a Sheridan Continuing Education Bursary!

This bursary aims to provide financial support to students with low family income and resources. Students may be eligible for course tuition cost plus 20% (with a limit of $1,000 per academic year).

The Sheridan Continuing Education Bursary is administered through the Financial Aid & Awards Office.

You may be eligible for a Sheridan Continuing Education Bursary if you:

  • are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or Protected Person as defined in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada);
  • have family income below the applicable threshold:
    • Family size: 1 - $36,811
    • Family size: 2 - $52,059
    • Family size: 3 - $63,760
    • Family size: 4 - $73,624
    • Family size: 5 - $82,313
    • Family size: 6 - $90,170
    • Family size: 7+ - $97,395
  • are not receiving funding from
    • Better Jobs Ontario
    • Ontario Bridging Participant Assistant Program (OBPAP)
    • Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)
    • Canada Student Financial Assistance Program (CSFA)
    • Student financial assistance from another province, territory, or country
  • are taking courses that are required for a Sheridan College Certificate, Recognition of Achievement, or Micro-Credential; and
  • are enrolled in a course that is at least four (4) weeks in length

The deadline to apply for bursary assistance is no later than the final day of your course(s). You are encouraged to apply within the first 10 days of classes.


 

All communications will occur via your Sheridan student email account.

You are responsible for paying the costs associated to register in classes as review of bursary applications will not occur until after the drop with refund period has passed. Applications will be considered in the order which they are submitted until funding has been depleted.

When completing your application for the Sheridan Continuing Education Bursary, please disregard the link to the "General Application." You do not need to complete this application.

Sheridan Black Students Bursary

The Sheridan Black Students Bursary is awarded to Sheridan students who self-identify as being Black (for example: African, African-Canadian, Caribbean, etc.) and demonstrate financial need.
