Registration Information

Read the step-by-step instructions below or watch the video tutorial on how to create a profile or account here.

Step 1:

  1. From the home page of caps.sheridancollege.ca, navigate to the upper right corner of the page and click login/create account
  2. Click on the green Create New Profile button.  

For returning students, please enter your Sheridan Student ID (PeopleSoft ID number). This will help in identifying and correctly matching your existing profile in PeopleSoft and prevent account duplication.
For new students, this field can be left blank. 

Step 2:

Complete the rest of the Account Information Form. 

  1. Create a username, 
  2. create a password, 
  3. give yourself a hint to remember your password and so on until you enter all of the information. 

Step 3:

Review and accept the Sheridan Policies and Procedures.

  1. Accept and agree by selecting the radio buttons.
  2. Double check all the entered information to make sure it is accurate, then click Submit.
  3. Agree to the policies and procedures to proceed to your profile. 

Your profile has now been successfully created.
You can now begin exploring and registering for the programs and courses offered by Sheridan Continuing and Professional Studies.

To sign-in to the CAPS website: 

  1. From the home page of caps.sheridancollege.ca, navigate to the upper right corner of the page and click login/create account

  2. Select the User Type applicable to you 

  3. Type in your username and password 

  4. Click the Sign-In button 

  5. If your sign-in credentials have been authenticated before, you can click on the Sheridan Single Sign-On (SSO) button

To register online for any CAPS class(es), follow the guide below:  

  1. Sign-in or create an account  

  2. Explore CAPS’ Programs from the side navigation menu 

  3. Once you have decided on a program or class, find the class you would like to register in by clicking on “All Classes” in the side navigation menu 

  4. Select the class that you would like to register in by clicking “Add to Cart” (this link will only be visible if the class is open for registration) 

  5. Proceed to Checkout  

  6. Pay by credit card  

Sheridan will confirm your registration and send a receipt via email.  

  1. To complete your registration process, you will be required to pay for your class(es) in full through our secure online payment system. Your registration to the class(es) you have selected will be secured with your payment via credit card.
  2. Sheridan accepts the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
  3. Alternatively, you can make your payment through your financial institution's online banking service.
  4. Please note that Sheridan does not accept in-person payments at any of our campuses.

To secure your registration in your program or course, please allow sufficient time for your payment to reach Sheridan by the due date. The sooner you register, the better. Please take note of the registration deadlines below:

If you have had previous learning experience, either in the workforce or in the classroom, find out how it can be applied towards your education. Submit the Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition application (PLAR) and payment if you'd like to apply your work / life experience, independent study or on-the-job training to your Sheridan education. You can submit your PLAR application to caps@sheridancollege.ca  

If you have credits from another college or university and would like to transfer them to Sheridan, complete the Advanced Standing Credit application
