This program is designed to meet the professional development needs of novice professionals new to project management to experienced project managers facing new challenges. For those who are organized, perceptive, detail-oriented, and communicate well, a lucrative career in the fast-growing industry of project management is your next step!
Students will learn how to contribute to key areas of project management, including human resources, communication, time integration, cost, quality and risk procurement. Students will learn from highly experienced industry professionals who are experts in the project management field and working in various industries. With project management and project managers being an integral part of any industry, Sheridan's Project Management Certificate is designed to give the fundamental to advanced skills required to be success in any field.
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Apply fundamental concepts and principles of project management to navigate projects from start to finish
- Utilize project management software to schedule and control a project
- Analyze the procurement process, including a detailed assessment of risk
- Manage quality and risk in a project manager role
- Understand the role of project scope and time management

The Fundamentals of Project Management course is a prerequisite to all courses in the program.

All courses in the Project Management Certificate program are designed to provide PMI® credential holders with Professional Development Units (PDUs) needed to satisfy the designation’s ongoing requirements. These PDU's are required to gain your certification status with PMI®.

Other Related Programs & Courses for PDU's
If you are a PMI credential holder (e.g. PMP), you may wish to consider taking some courses in the Business Analysis Certificate program for Professional Development hours. PMI® has endorsed the courses in the program for the required PDUs. If you pursue the course requirements leading to the Business Analysis Certificate, then you will earn Professional Development credits that you can also use towards earning an IIBA credential (e.g. CCBA, CBAP).

Project Coordinator Micro-Credential
If you're unsure of committing to the full certificate, our Project Coordinator Micro-Credential program is also available. This program consists of four (4) courses that lay a foundational knowledge in project management skills and techniques. Students will gain fundamental understanding of the importance of project management within an organization, and how to successfully complete projects from start to finish. This is a perfect introductory credential for those who wish to test out a new field of study, or quickly upskill for current trends. Students who wish to complete this micro-credential can easily pathway into the Certificate program after completion.
