Program Updates

Our program continues to provide you with more advanced computing and reporting skills, to empower you to better analyze and report data to various stakeholders. We have added Excel Advanced and removed both Excel Introduction and Word Introduction. Furthermore, we have added Corporate Income Taxation to our existing Personal Income Taxation, as the course specifically deals with business taxation, and is an integral part of the business reporting requirements. Knowing which business expenses are tax deductible, will help in providing better bookkeeping. We are confident that these changes will give you yet another edge to succeed in this ever-competitive labour-market.

Laptop & Quickbooks 1 Requirements

For some courses, students will be required to have their own laptop.

Registration information for the student trial version of QuickBooks 2018 Accountant Desktop software is provided in the required textbook. Students cannot use the MAC edition of the software as it does not contain Canadian content. Students must have a computer with one of the following operating systems, Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista (SP2 or later). The software will not work with Windows XP or any system older than the ones noted.
