Create innovative and conceptual images to feature in your portfolio - by exploring professional photography techniques. Develop skills acquired in the basic and intermediate digital photography courses, by using product, portrait and still life photography techniques. You will apply these techniques in editorial, commercial, advertising and fine art contexts. Bring a digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera and tripod (if you have one) to the first class. Spring and fall classes may include a field trip. Fees include a $45 (non-refundable) lab fee. Class will be held in both a MAC lab and photography studio.
Prerequisite(s): VDES70029 Photography, Intermediate Digital and a recommended working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop. This should be one of the last courses you complete within the certificate.
Important Adobe Requirements Starting Fall 2019: As of Fall 2019, our Adobe registration requirements will be changing. Upon registration, students will need to register with Adobe and download a license linked to their Sheridan username. A license can be downloaded by visiting https://getadobe.sheridancollege.ca/. Upon the start date of the course, students will only be able to participate in the MAC lab portion of this course if they've downloaded the appropriate license and logged in with their username and password. You will not be able to access the MAC labs without this information. For information regarding the downloading of licenses, please contact our IT department at (905) 845-9430 ext. 2150 prior to the start date of your class.
