Gain valuable competencies in creativity and creative problem solving that can enhance and advance any career. This unique Micro-Credential facilitates the development of practical, real-world strategies for creativity and innovation in the 21st Century workplace. Examine problem-solving methodologies and apply divergent and convergent thinking tools to a variety of professional contexts.

Students who complete this Micro-Credential, and who meet admission requirements, may be eligible to receive credit towards completion of the Applied Creativity and Innovation Graduate Certificate


Program Description

Learn creativity and problem-solving theory from award-winning faculty on the cutting-edge of creativity and innovation research. This Micro-Credential is cross-disciplinary in nature and can advance your knowledge, skills and confidence in innovating and solving problems no matter your career background and goals. You will have the opportunity to explore the multi-factorial concepts and cultural elements that influence creativity and work towards strategies to overcome barriers to innovation and problem-solving.

Program Delivery

We'll help you choose electives and a practicum project that are most relevant to your career or education. All classes are delivered virtually (through asynchronous instruction), allowing you to study evenings, weekends or whenever it's most convenient for you. The program duration is seven weeks. You’ll also be invited to voluntary on-campus special events during reading weeks or the summer.
