Program Description

With Sheridan’s Dental Office Administration Micro-Credential, students will develop the administrative skills needed to support the daily operations of a modern dental practice. This program introduces students to dental office procedures, patient communication, scheduling, dental terminology, records management, insurance processing, and industry-standard dental applications. Through practical learning, students gain an understanding of how dental offices operate while building organizational and customer service skills required in patient-facing environments. 

Students will learn how to manage appointments, maintain patient records, navigate dental insurance claims, process billing information, and use dental practice management software such as Dentrix. Emphasis is placed on professionalism, communication, teamwork, and delivering positive patient experiences while supporting the administrative needs of a dental practice.
