Program Delivery

These are part-time courses and are delivered via online (asynchronous) classroom.

Program Description

If you want to contribute thoughtfully, creatively and positively to the community around you while improving your employability or fulfilling general elective requirements for another program, Sheridan’s General Education Electives will help you do all those things and more.

Upon completion of one or all of the following courses, you’ll have strengthened your awareness of the issues the world faces today as well as your critical analysis, problem solving and communication skills. Explore a range of topics that will appeal to you both personally and as a member of a larger society.

Upon completion of these courses, students will be able to:

  • Discuss the functions and components of the digestive system
  • List the major social variables that impact behaviour
  • Understand the cultural impact of the game of soccer
  • Identify the relevance of the social, cultural, and economic history of chocolate 
  • Examine popular nutrition trends as they relate to personal and global wellness
  • and more!

Students are welcome to enrol in the course(s) that best fit their academic journey. There is no recommended program pathway.
