These are part-time workshops, and are delivered via virtual (synchronous) classroom.

Program Description

The human resources field is much more than hiring top-notch talent, the most impactful HR professionals are well-versed in people trends, workplace environments and mental health issues. Learning and applying this advanced knowledge will support your career development and set you apart from the competition. Professional development in the HR industry is critical to understanding the ever-changing workplace and prepares you for the kinds of issues you may face in the future. New developments are consistently emerging and those who can embrace these changes will be coveted within an organization. 

With Sheridan's Human Resources Workshops series, we will provide you with two hands-on practical courses designed to help take your Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation or your Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation through the Human Resources Professionals Association. Through these accelerated preparation courses, students will be provided a distinct overview of the competency framework to help them ace the test.

Students are welcome to enrol in the workshop(s) that best fit their academic or professional journey. There is no recommended program pathway. 

Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA)

The Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA) is the professional regulatory body and the professional association for HR professionals in Ontario. All courses in the Human Resources Management Certificate program have been approved by HRPA and can help you earn the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation.
