Program Description

Sheridan’s Interior Decorating Foundations Micro-Credential introductory program offers a comprehensive foundation in the principles and practices of interior decorating. Students explore the essential elements of decorating, including colour theory, spatial planning, and digital drafting, while gaining practical skills to begin building a professional portfolio. No design experience is required!

By the end of this program, students will be able to:
• Understand the core principles and elements of decorating
• Explore historical and cultural decor trends and their impact
• Utilize real-world applications of colour in interior spaces
• Produce floor plans and elevations with AutoCAD

Program Delivery

This program will be delivered via online asynchronous classroom.

Software Requirements

The DESN70531 CAD for Interior Decorating course will require the CAD software. Details on how you can access CAD will be provided in your first week. Students will be responsible for any additional fees in relation to software materials.
