Program Delivery

This is a part-time program and is delivered via online (asynchronous) and virtual or on-campus (synchronous) classroom. 

Program Description

Sheridan's Project Coordinator Micro-Credential is designed to help people get started with foundational concepts, tools and techniques that enable best practice project execution. These skills will help you if you go into a formal Project Management role or are one of those people that manage projects in addition to other duties. Students will learn the processes, planning and execution aspects of managing a project from start to finish. Evolve your skills to the next step by learning how to effectively use modern software and applications to successfully complete projects under time, budget, and scope. Further in-depth skills in managing resources, stakeholders, procurements and costs are benefits you will get from the quick micro-credential. 

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

  • Apply fundamental and foundational principles of project management to projects from start to completion
  • Assess the impact of stakeholders within projects 
  • Develop a plan for mitigating project risks 
  • Utilize modern project management software for project completion

Project Management Institute (PMI)® Examinations

With the Project Coordinator Micro-Credential, students will begin to be prepared to write the below examinations:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)® exam 
  • The Certified Associate in Program Management (CAPM)® exam
  • Other PMI® certifications

Upon graduation, you will be able to earn our Sheridan Project Coordinator Micro-Credential, and successfully earn Professional Development Units (PDUs) towards your preferred PMI® certifications.

Project Management Certificate

If you are interested in furthering your education in Project Management, our Project Management Certificate program is also available. This program consists of six (6) courses, including the four (4) fundamental courses part of the Project Coordinator Micro-Credential. Students will expand on their project coordinator skills to include knowledge on project scope, timelines, advanced risk, and advanced techniques for quality assurance. Students who are interested can easily pathway into our Certificate program after completion of their Micro-Credential.
