These are approved courses for students in the process of working towards admission into the Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) Professional Education Program (PEP).

If you are interested in taking these courses, please fill out the Expression of Interest Form and our staff will reach out to you for next steps.
 

Program Delivery

This course is delivered using a (hybrid model) with skill and community building sessions in person at (Sheridan EDGE), as well as activities you complete at your own pace through self-directed or collaborative peer support.

Program Description

Obtain Your Professional Accounting Graduate Certificate with Sheridan

The Professional Accounting Graduate Certificate gives you a clear pathway to becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). Once you’ve successfully completed this program, you can apply to CPA’s Professional Education Program (PEP) — the final step before you write your Common Final Exam (CFE).

Obtain Your Professional Accounting Graduate Certificate with Sheridan

For students who are unable to commit to the full graduate certificate or only require a few more courses to obtain the requirements to be considered for CPA's Professional Education Program (PEP), you can opt to complete one or more of these select CPA Preparatory courses with Continuing and Professional Studies (CAPS).

Note: Before registering for a CPA Preparatory course(s), it is the student’s responsibility to ensure they have the required pre-requisite knowledge needed to complete the course(s). Students in the Bachelor of Business Administration degree program should not register for these courses as these are NOT equivalent to the BBA courses.

How do I become a Chartered Professional Accountant?

  1. complete an eligible 120-credit-hour degree
  2. complete CPA’s preparatory courses or equivalent
  3. complete CPA’s Professional Education Program (PEP)
  4. write the Common Final Exam (CFE)
  5. meet CPA’s work experience requirements
