Motion Picture Camera Assistant Workshop (CXFTV) Information

Sheridan, in collaboration with I.A.T.S.E. Local 667 (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Local Union 667; International Cinematographers Guild), is now offering Motion Picture Camera Assistant Workshops, a 2-week intensive training program solely focused on Camera Assistant responsibilities.

Please Note: Applications continue to be received for future workshop offerings.

Admission Requirements:

  • Recommended, but not mandatory: prior industry experience or completion of a college or university program in media-related studies.

Application Process:

  1. Please fill out this form for review and evaluation. 
  2. Candidates who meet the admission requirements will be receiving an Offer of Admission prior to registering to the program.(Note: based on the limited number of seats) 
  3. After receiving an Offer of Admission, you will be provided with registration and payment instructions.

Important Notes:

  •  Fees are due at time of registration.

  • Note: A $100 non-refundable material fee has been embedded into the program's total cost.

  • Sheridan is unable to reserve or hold slots without a completed registration

  • Workshops 1 (MEDA70011) & 2 (MEDA70012) are to be taken consecutively. Attendance at all classes is mandatory for these intensive workshops.

  • Campus:  Trafalgar, Oakville (Room Number: TBD)
