The Fitness Test for Ontario Correctional Officers, (FITCO) is a credible occupational test used to assess a person's ability to perform the physical demands of correctional officer.
The goal of the practice session is to help you assess your abilities to perform the physical demands of a correctional officer. On this day, our qualified staff will demonstrate the components of the circuit portion of the FITCO test where you will then receive hands-on exposure and technique assistance. You will also have the chance to participate in the shuttle run. You are encouraged to push yourself as much as possible on this day and participate in all components in order to obtain as much exposure as possible. Take our FITCO practice sessions to help you reach your goal and succeed at the physical testing phase.
Note: Please make sure you are available and ready for the practice session on the date and time you selected. Once you have registered, you will not be reimbursed if you cancel or do not show up. If you cannot attend please provide at least 24 hours notice to leslie.bordenave@sheridancollege.ca.
Instructions for the day: Please arrive 15 mins prior to the practice session to process registration. Participants must bring a piece of government identification and will be required to complete the proper waiver forms onsite on the day of the practice session.
