Learn how the QuickBooks program can easily set up a chart of accounts; reconcile your chequing account; create and print invoices, receipts and statements; track your payables, receivables and inventory; create estimates and generate reports; set up Payroll, edit employee data, and process payroll and government data.  QuickBooks is designed for the small to mid-sized business owner.  A student version of the software comes with the textbook as a free download.


Software required: Registration information for the student trial version of QuickBooks 2018 Accountant Desktop software is provided in the required textbook. Students cannot use the MAC edition of the software as it does not contain Canadian content. Students must have a computer with one of the following operating systems, Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista (SP2 or later). The software will not work with Windows XP or any system older than the ones noted. Students are required to bring their laptops for this course.
