Mechanical Components and Electrical Drives

Students study the basic functions, physical properties and roles of mechanical components and electrical drives using a physical mechatronic system. Students also examine various mechanical components which transfer or convert the energy through a mechanical system increasing efficiency and reducing wear and tear. Students apply troubleshooting strategies to correct malfunctions of mechanical components within a mechatronics system.

Students are required to have a laptop for on-campus studies. Please refer to caps.sheridancollege.ca for more detailed information about course availability and scheduling options. A non-refundable material fee of $50 is included in the course fees. Materials have to be returned to the College if you withdraw from the course.
