Successful and memorable events require extensive planning and a well-thought-out strategy. Study different types of events, the commonalities among them, and how the scale of an event impacts planning. Through in­class discussions, a variety of activities, and practical application assignments, students explore the event planning process including critical path development, event design, budgeting, sponsorships, marketing and communication, staffing, working with vendors, risk assessment and contingency planning.
