With this program, you can kick-start a career as a CNC operator.  CNC operators work in a variety of industries — automotive, aircraft, plastics, telecommunications and many more.

Learn in our state-of-the art training facilities and get introduced to the skills of CNC machining with hands-on training on industry-standard machines. 

This introductory program also includes instruction in safety, manual machining, blueprint reading, CNC programming and MasterCAM.

A Sheridan Micro-Credential is awarded upon successful completion of the CNC RapidSkills program.

This 21-week, part-time program is a collaboration with the Faculty of Applied Science & Technology (FAST) and begins September 2020.

Held on-campus, on Saturday’s, students can expect to learn the fundamentals of the manufacturing process, the safe operation of both large and small machinery, identify key machine control units and their functions, an understanding of programming language, and more.

Sheridan’s precision manufacturing programs have a reputation for excellence and outstanding hands-on instruction.  Students will work out of Sheridan’s
newly opened state-of-the art Skilled Trades Facility in Brampton, Ontario  Skilled Trades Centre. 
 
Become the next generation of CNC Machinists. Put theory learned in
the classroom into practice on machinery used in current workplaces. With industry experts, learn from knowledgeable faculty through hands-on practice and application, all under the safety and guidance of our industry leaders.
 
Upon graduation, you will be prepared to tackle all the challenges that a career in CNC Operations has to offer.
 
Students can participate in available job search support through the Faculty of Science & Technology’s Job Development Coordinator and Sheridan's Community Employment Services. 
 
Receive interview and resume coaching to assist in the transition to employment.  
 
Complete our RapidSkills program and be ready to start a career in CNC Operations.
