Registered Professional Accountant (RPA) - Approved Courses

With Sheridan’s RPA-accredited suite of accounting and finance courses, you can earn the RPA professional designation to set you apart from the crowd and help to achieve your career goals!

RPAs hold leadership roles in small to mid-sized businesses, valued roles in large corporate enterprises, or have taken an entrepreneurial route and have become owners in their own accounting practice.

Completion of the RPA courses is a prerequisite to participating in the Professional Review Program or attempting the final Mandatory Professional Exam. You will receive full RPA membership after passing the National examination and completing the prescribed experience requirement.

More information is available under the Program Description tab.

These courses are part of the Registered Professional Accountant (RPA) Designation - Approved Courses. Please note that Sheridan provides a partial offering of required courses that can be credited towards the RPA Designation.

A full listing of required courses may be found on the association’s website: https://rpacanada.org/.

Students are required to successfully complete the association’s required course curriculum and submit their transcript for equivalency exemptions towards their RPA Designation. It is recommended that students contact the association regarding potential updates to their required course curriculum.

Students must achieve a cumulative grade average of 60% or better in each course to be eligible for the RPA designation. If courses were taken several years ago, students may be able to obtain special dispensation from the Association’s Education Committee (decision in part will be based on grade performance of their other courses and experience).

Please contact the association for further information.
