RPN Safe Practice Completion

Micro-credential

Practicing as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in Ontario is a rewarding experience and a profession that is growing. Job prospects are strong and nurses practice in a wide variety of community, homecare, and hospital settings.

If you have trained as a nurse previously, in Ontario, Canada, or globally, and you have a CNO letter stating your evidence of nursing practice has expired, this program is for you!

Program Overview

The RPN Safe Practice Completion is a set of courses that requires two terms (8 months) to complete. During term one, students engage in on-campus nursing lab activities one day a week and online courses for the remainder of the academic week. For term two, students participate in a community-based, clinical learning experience. The program is accelerated, and upon successful completion, students achieve the knowledge, skills, and competencies to meet the requirements outlined in the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) letter for RPNs that states “Your Evidence of Nursing Practice has expired”.

Program Note

  •  These courses are restricted to students with CNO Letter of Assessment and / or Program Coordinator's Approval.

  • There is a material fee of $141.26 embedded into the total program tuition that is non-refundable after the first class.
