Program Delivery

This is a part-time program and is delivered via online (asynchronous) and virtual (synchronous) classroom. 

What are Micro-Credentials? 

Micro-Credentials certify an individual’s achievements in specific skill sets and differ from traditional credentials, such as degrees or diplomas. They are shorter, personalized, and enables employment in specific roles. At the end of this program, you will receive an official document credential from Sheridan Continuing & Professional Studies.

Sheridan's new Junior Business Analyst Micro-Credential is designed to get analysts job-ready for an exciting adventure in helping business thrive and adapt. Within a corporate setting, business analysts can aide in facilitating, collaborating, clarifcation, and design of solutions - all important building blocks in facilitating successful change in any industry! Students can expect to learn elicitation, modeling, and engagement managment skills in order to better position themselves to achieve Business Analyst roles. 

With instructors with broad and deep experience across various organizations and levels of Business Analysis, learn from industry experts who can provide hands-on experience with real-life scearios. 

By the end of this program, students will be able to:

  • Describe the roles and responsibilities of the business analyst in an enterprise 
  • Conduct strategy analysis, risk assessments, and change strategy determinations 
  • Apply theory, principles, and techniques of business analysis 
  • Facilitate, negotiate, and communicate techniques related to business analysis performance

The courses in the Junior Business Analyst Micro-Credential are recognized by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) as education qualifying for application and maintenance credits for the globally recognized Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) and Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) designations. Continuing and Professional Studies is an approved Endorsed Education Provider (EEP) through IIBA®. 

International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) 

The Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK®) is defined by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) which is the basis for the globally recognized Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) and Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) designations.  Continuing and Professional Studies is an approved Endorsed Education Provider (EEP) through IIBA®. 

Business Analysis Certificate 

If you are interested in furthering your education in business analysis, our program Business Analysis Certificate is also available. This program consists of seven (7) courses, including the three (3) fundamental courses part of the Junior Business Analyst Micro-Credential. Students will expand on their business analysis skills to include knowledge on project management, managing engagements, big data, software testing, and more. Students who are interested can easily pathway into our Certificate program after completion of their Micro-Credential.
