In this introductory course, you will learn about issues related to employer and employee collective bargaining. You will review the unionization process, private/public sector legislation, negotiating and administering collective agreements, and dispute resolution mechanisms. Through activities and hands on assignments, you will dive into the current Canadian Industrial Relations system with reference to the major players and the context in which the interaction takes place.

Prerequisite(s): HRMT70006 Human Resource Administration or another post-secondary level HR fundamentals course.
