Registered Condominium Manager (RCM) and the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario
The Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO)is the only professional association within Ontario supporting condominium management professionals and improving the quality of service provided by condominium property managers. They also offer further examinations and designations, some are outlined below.
Completion of the four (4) current courses is a prerequisite to write the Registered Condominium Manager (RCM) examination. The RCM is a voluntary designation of the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO). For more information on the RCM and ACMO, please visit: www.acmo.org/rcm-designation
Effective November 1, 2017, as per the Condominium Management Services Act, all Condominium Managers and providers of condominium management services in Ontario are required to be licensed. At the same time, the Minister of Government and Consumer Services designated the courses developed by the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO) as the educational requirement necessary to qualify for a General License.
The four courses currently offered at Sheridan meet this requirement.

Important Notes on Licensing Education (Due to the change below, we are NOT Accepting New Students)
On November 1, 2021, responsibility for licensing education transferred to the Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO). They will be introducing 6 different courses that will be required for licensing. Notwithstanding this, the ACMO courses will continue to be valid education for a license until October 31, 2022, provided that a person has enrolled in at least one ACMO course and applied for their Limited License before November 1, 2021. If this has been done and the four ACMO courses are completed by October 31, 2022, they will be deemed to have met the education requirement for licensing.
Exam Information
All ACMO approved courses have a final exam. Final exams are currently being proctored through Examity. All exam related information will be available within your course portal.
