Financial Assistance

We're hosting a Virtual Information Session on CAPS Student Services on December 16th, 2020 at 7:00pm. Let us walk you through the services available to you as a Continuing & Professional Studies student! 

If you're interested in just learning more about our Sheridan Continuing Education Bursary, we are hosting a Virtual Information Session on financial assistance on January 11th, 2021 at 7:00pm. Register here and join our Financial Aid and Awards Office to learn how to apply for the bursary, what documents are required, and when to apply for. 

Students enrolled in a Continuing Education program can now apply for a Sheridan Continuing Education Bursary! This bursary aims to provide financial support to students with low family income and resources. Eligible students will receive up to $200 per course, for a maximum of $500 per academic term. 

Applications to apply for the Fall and Winter Bursaries are located at the bottom. 

The Sheridan Continuing Education Bursary is administered through the Financial Aid & Awards Office.

Eligibility Requirements

You may be eligible for a Sheridan Continuing Education Bursary if:

  • You are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or Protected Person as defined in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada);
  • Your family income is below the threshold for a given family size; 
  • You are not receiving grant or loan funding from:
    • The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)
    • The Canada Student Loans Program (CSLP)
    • Second Career
  • A student financial assistance program from another province, territory, or country; 
  • Ontario Bridging Participant Assistant Program (OBPAP); 
  • You are taking courses that are required for a Sheridan College Certificate, Recognition of Achievement, or Micro-Credential; 
  • Your study period is at least four (4) weeks in length 

Deadline Requirements 

The deadline to apply for bursary assistance is no later than ten (10) business days after your class starts

Application Requirements 

You are responsible for paying the costs associated to register in classes are review of the bursary applications will not occur until after the drop with refund period has passed. Applications will be considered in the order which they are submitted until funding has been depleted.
